Prof. Förster von der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität hielt einen sehr informativen
kurzen Vortrag über DNA und genetische Vielfalt bei der Honigbiene. Er hat mit
einer sehr interessanten Grafik die Vielfalt der Rassen Melifera, Carnica und
Buckfast aufgezeigt. Dabei kam zum Vorschein, was wir in der Praxis schon immer
sahen. Die Melifera ist beängstigend eng veranlagt. Die Carnica hat eine grössere
Vielfalt, ist aber auch schon viel zu eng. Die Buckfastbiene hat eine Vielfalt, die
grossartig ist. Wenn man das in Punkten messen will, kommt die Melifera auf 3, die
Carnica auf ca. 50 und die Buckfast auf ca. 150 Punkte.
Seine Erkenntnis war zum Schluss:
Bienen sind zu schade, um in der (menschlichen) Reinzucht zu verarmen!

He has shown a very interesting graphic diversity of races melifera, Carnica and Buckfast. It came to light, what we saw in practice all along. The melifera predisposed scary close.The Carnica has a greater diversity, but is also far too narrow. The Buckfast bee has a diversity that is great. If one wants to measure in points melifera comes to 3, the Carnica to about 50 and the Buckfast to about 150 points. His insight was to the end: Bees are too good to deplete in the (human) purebreeding!
